Why should I rent when I could buy?
Let's look at the 18"-24" Blueberry Bush, it costs less than $28.00 for the entire season. If you were to buy all the items separately, it could cost well over $60.00. And once you buy it, you are stuck with it, it's your responsibility to store it and take care of it all year long. Renting gives you the opportunity to try different plants and varieties without the need for extra space. All of the rental plants come pruned and fertilized, all you have to do is water.

What are my payment options?
I accept all major credit cards and checks. I'll email you a rental agreement and invoice, please sign it and send it back with your payment. Remember, a 50% deposit is required to reserve your plant(s) and the balance must be paid before the plant(s) are delivered. The trees and materials are expensive, so I have to bill you up front, sorry for the inconvenience.

Can I rent the same plant next year?
Of course! Every plant has been tagged with a unique identifying number, just let me know if you want it back next year, or try out a completely new variety. If you rent the same plant, next year, I'll keep the price the same, even though it's a larger plant! Remember, plants sometimes die or need special care, if that is the case, I reserve the right to substitute a healthy plant, instead.

In the past, I've killed fake house plants! Should I try growing a fruit tree, and what happens if it dies?
Give it a try! You'll start out with a healthy and established plant/bush/tree, that is ready to grow. It will arrive pruned, and with a time release fertilizer (if appropriate) already mixed into the soil. All you need to do is give it full sunlight and water. As long as the plant does not die from lack of water, you will not be responsible for replacing it, should it die. Don't worry, you can sign up for watering reminders via email and text. If the plant isn't growing well, email me and we can figure out what's going on.

Can I order Organic plants?
Unfortunately, this season I do not have any Organic plants available. They will be available next year, in limited quantities, only to those that rented from me this year. Please let me know if you would like an Organically grown plant, and what variety(s).

How much fruit will I get?
That depends on a variety of factors. 1) The size of the plant/bush/tree. Not all of the flora offered is of fruit bearing size, don't worry though, it will be clearly marked. 2) Growing conditions. One never knows what Mother Nature has in store. You will be supplied with healthy plants, grown in a rich soil, but I can't control what happens after you receive them. Weather, insects, sunlight and disease all effect fruit production. With that said, there is NO guarantee that any of the flora will produce fruit.

Will Pomegranates really fruit in Massachusetts?
Yes, no and possibly sometimes. It will probably fruit but there is very little chance that it will ripen all the way. They are pretty bushes and trees, in the fall the leaves turn a nice yellowish orange.

What kind of container will I get?
It will look something like this, color and shape will vary:

What else should I know before I rent?
The larger the container, the heaver it will be, some trees will be over 6' tall. You are responsible for moving the plants after they are delivered to the front of your building. A complete list of the terms and conditions are on the rental agreement. Please read them carefully before you sign it!
